Seeking adults 18+ and one child to play an 8 year old boy

Show dates: September 25-28 and October 2-5. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 7:30pm, Sundays at 3pm

Rehearsal Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00PM - 9:00PM; Sundays 5:30PM - 8:30PM

What to Prepare: Please fill out an audition form and outdate calendar, linked below. Please bring all completed paperwork to your audition. Please prepare one of the selected vocal cuts, linked below. Callbacks will be from 8:00-9:00pm, by invitation only.

Please note:  The only character with a callback music side is the Balladeer. All other characters will only sing in the initial audition. If your desired roles include the Balladeer or you indicate you are open to any role, you may be asked to sing either of the Balladeer cuts in a callback. Note that these cuts are bespoke and may not – and probably do not – perfectly match any cast album recordings. (The Guiteau side combines two separate songs.) Please use the provided tracks to help yourself learn your material

Show Information: Assassins lays bare the lives of nine individuals who assassinated or tried to assassinate the President of the United States, in a one-act historical "revusical" that explores the dark side of the American experience. From John Wilkes Booth to Lee Harvey Oswald, writers, Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman, bend the rules of time and space, taking us on a nightmarish roller coaster ride in which assassins and would-be assassins from different historical periods meet, interact and inspire each other to harrowing acts in the name of the American Dream.

PLEASE NOTE: Video auditions are accepted for this production. Please send a video of yourself singing one of the provided cuts along with a karaoke track to joann@stageworksnj.org by July 15th at 6:00PM. Include a copy of your headshot and resume and a completed audition form and out date calendar.
