There is a $250 production fee only for youth performers cast in this production. The production fee is due at our first rehearsal on 7/28. There will be a parent meeting at the start of the rehearsal.
Show dates: January 29-February 1st & February 5-8th. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays @ 7:30pm, Sundays @ 3pm
Rehearsal Dates: Please read the following carefully:
Individual Lessons: If cast as an instrumentalist, from July to late September, rehearsals will consist of private lessons with our Music Director, Chris Vehmas at StageWorks if you are not already taking lessons on your instrument. Each cast member instrumentalist will receive approximately 4 individual 45-minute lessons to learn their parts on their instruments, based on their previous experience and the amount of time needed for each section.
Please be sure to mark any vacations or planned absences for your family during these months on the audition form. If your child is cast, the team will be in regular communication to schedule their lessons and provide the tools they need to rock out!
Small Group Rehearsals (Kids & Dewey): Rehearsals will begin in October, held twice a week on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6:30–8:30 pm. These rehearsals will focus on combining the individual music parts with the group, as well as working on choreography and scenes with Dewey and the kids.
Full Cast Rehearsals: Starting in November, full cast rehearsals will begin and will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00–9:00 pm, as well as Sundays from 1:00–4:00 pm. The intention is to dismiss the kids between 8:00–8:30 pm for most weekday rehearsals.
What to Prepare: Please come to the audition with a completed audition form and signed outdate calendar. Please prepare both general vocal cuts from “If Only You Would Listen” and “Stick it to the Man." If auditioning for Summer, please also prepare the vocal cut for “Time to Play." If auditioning for Zach, please sing and play guitar for the “School of Rock part 2” selection. There will be an accompanist provided at the audition.
If you play an instrument, please also bring your instrument (or multiple instruments) to the audition and prepare to show the team any song you like to play. Drums, keyboard, and bass will be provided. Please be prepared to have a short lesson on your instrument with our music director in the audition room, as well as to read sides from the script.

Show Information:
Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme… You better get me to school on time! Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock – The Musical is a two-hour, two-act show, based on the hit movie. The tuner follows Dewey Finn, a failed, wannabe rock star who decides to earn an extra bit of cash by posing as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. There he turns a class of straight–A pupils into a guitar-shredding, bass-slapping, mind-blowing rock band. But can he get them to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?
